Job Summary

AdeIphi MedicaI Staffing is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team on a per diem basis. As an LPN, you will provide direct nursing care to patients in a skilled nursing facility setting, working under the guidance of RNs or physicians.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver High-Quality Patient Care: Administer medications, perform wound care, and monitor vital signs to ensure patients receive the best possible care.
  • Conduct Comprehensive Patient Assessments: Perform physical exams, review medical histories, and assess medication regimens to develop personalized care plans.
  • Administer Medications and Treatments: Accurately administer prescribed medications and treatments, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
  • Manage Wounds and Injuries: Evaluate, clean, dress, and manage wounds, incisions, and injuries, monitoring for infection or complications.
  • Monitor and Document Vital Signs: Continuously monitor and document patients' vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
  • Maintain Accurate Patient Records: Record changes in patients' conditions, administered treatments, and medication management in detailed and precise patient records.
  • Educate Patients and Families: Educate patients and their families on their medical conditions, prescribed medications, and self-care practices to promote overall well-being.
  • Collaborate with the Healthcare Team: Work closely with RNs, physicians, therapists, and support staff to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Address Patient Comfort and Safety: Address patient comfort and safety requirements, including positioning, mobility assistance, and pain management.
  • Respond to Medical Emergencies: Respond swiftly and effectively during medical emergencies, adhering to established protocols and delivering basic life support as necessary.
  • Adhere to Infection Control Procedures: Safely handle, store, and dispose of medications and medical supplies, adhering to regulations and guidelines.
  • Foster Health and Wellness: Promote preventive care measures like vaccinations and screenings, and aid with health assessments to foster health and wellness.
  • Advocate for Patients' Rights: Advocate for patients' rights and needs within the healthcare system, ensuring they receive the appropriate care and support.
  • Stay Current on Nursing Best Practices: Stay current on nursing best practices, regulations, and advancements through ongoing education and training.
Requirements
  • Valid LPN State License: Possess a valid and active Licensed Practical Nurse State license.
  • BLS Certification: Hold Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
