Key Responsibilities- Provide hands-on care and supervision services to residents, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
- Participate in comprehensive orientation to the residential care facility, its policies, and procedures.
- Attend monthly in-service meetings to stay updated on caregiver continuing education requirements and best practices.
- Report to work on time and maintain a high level of attendance, providing adequate notice if unable to work.
- Meet physical demands of the role, including lifting up to 50 lbs and performing tasks that require bending, squatting, and reaching.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including grooming, bathing, and oral hygiene.
- Perform housekeeping chores, such as making beds, changing linens, and cleaning bathrooms.
- Assist residents with incontinence issues and provide fresh clothing as needed.
- Cook meals for residents and follow posted menus.
- Administer medications according to state and federal laws, company policy, and procedures.
- Clean and sanitize the kitchen and dining area after meals.
- Assist residents with appointments and building maintenance issues.
- Maintain accurate records, charting medications and resident activities.
