This role involves participating and leading the design and/or project management of mechanical building systems, preparing detailed mechanical engineering design calculations and drawings of mechanical systems, from schematics through construction administration, on a wide range of building types.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate and lead the design and/or project management of mechanical building systems
  • Prepare detailed mechanical engineering design calculations and drawings of mechanical systems
  • Coordinate HVAC design requirements with architecture, structure, and other disciplines
  • Develop HVAC designs from concept through completion of construction
  • Support business development initiatives by assisting the RFP process and interview process
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from ABET Accredited College or University
  • EIT or PE License Desired
  • 6 - 8+ years of experience with an MEP or Engineering Consulting firm designing HVAC building systems on complex projects
  • Proficient in Revit OR AutoCAD
  • Proven Project experience in Commercial, Public Sector, Educational (K-12 / Higher Education), Justice, and/or Civic Projects
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience and interest in Sustainable Building Design
  • LEED AP or LEED GA with previous experience participating in the LEED or other green rating system process
  • An appreciation and understanding of architectural design and how architects work and think
