Mental Health Support Specialist

Healthcare Staffing Professionals, Inc. is seeking a qualified Mental Health Worker to join our team in a psychiatric hospital setting. As a Mental Health Worker, you will play a vital role in providing patient care and support to individuals with mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities- Assist patients with daily activities, including bathing, feeding, and maintaining a clean and orderly environment.
- Work under the supervision of RNs or LVNs to assist with patient care, including guiding patients through daily routines and preparing medical records.
- Provide escort services for patients attending court, clinics, and therapy sessions.
- Assist professional staff with patient examinations, special procedures, and therapy.
- Observe patient behavior and report any concerns to professional staff.
- Record patient observations and document progress in medical records.
- Valid driver's license
- Current healthcare provider CPR card
- One year of experience in mental health, paraprofessional, or caregiving roles
- Basic patient care and healthcare institutional routine
- Medical terms and procedures
- Computer software programs for word processing, spreadsheets, and medical record management
- Methods for preserving and maintaining medical records confidentiality
- Proper and safe lifting techniques
This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, with a pay rate of $25 per hour. The working hours are 3p-11p and 11p-7a.
