Systems Integration Specialist - Battle Creek, MI

Overview:

The role of the Systems Integration Specialist is to deliver effective integration solutions for both internal and external stakeholders through advanced software development. This position entails the design, execution, and establishment of software integration methodologies while managing intricate software build environments. Clear communication of integration requirements and expectations is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop integration solutions for various technologies including Rest API, OPC, and CODESYS.
  • Create efficient and scalable integrations utilizing programming languages such as C++ and C# .NET, emphasizing a microservices architecture that encompasses all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Implement integration techniques such as message routing, data transformation, batch processing, and error handling to fulfill business needs and machinery integration.
  • Collaborate with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM), Lead Developers, and Business Analysts to achieve integration objectives.
  • Onboard new clients and internal partners while transitioning existing partners and their automated systems.
  • Participate in special projects, including migrating from various integration platforms and ensuring smooth upgrades and implementations.
  • Generate project documentation, including technical specifications and process flow diagrams, while keeping stakeholders informed.
  • Exhibit the capability to manage projects autonomously and within a collaborative team environment to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Assist with additional tasks as required.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally approximately 50% of the time.
  • Serve as a resource for connected automation and machine performance reporting.
  • Develop custom software solutions using Java or scripting languages.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in coding for various integration types, including real-time, file-based, asynchronous, synchronous, and ETL processes.
  • Ability to create multiple integrations based on a reusable microservices architecture.
  • Familiarity with data standards and communication protocols such as XML, JSON, EDI, and REST.
  • Comfortable in a dynamic work environment.
  • Previous experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is advantageous.
  • Accountable for integrating customer solutions with both new and existing systems.
  • The impact of your work directly influences the quality and reputation of the organization.
  • Travel to client locations for design, implementation, and troubleshooting is required. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in software development or system integration using C++, C#, .NET Core, Node, React, Typescript, CODESYS, REST API, and Java.
  • At least 2 years of experience with relational and non-relational databases such as Azure SQL or Cosmos.
