SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

The Family Success Coach will serve as direct care staff in a residential substance abuse treatment facility for women and children.

This position provides on-site family services, including crisis intervention, counseling, skill-building, and advocacy.

This is a 24/7 program, requiring flexibility and adaptability.

Compensation: $20.40 per hour (based on relevant experience)

Work Schedule: 25 hours per week, Thursday and Friday 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Saturday and Sunday 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in social work or related field required.
  • Experience in residential services preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • *Maintain a flexible, accessible, and responsive work schedule.
  • *Provide a range of concrete and advocacy services to family members tailored to their needs and preferences.
  • *Be aware of and respond to potential safety issues.
  • *Offer on-site education and skill-building activities.
  • *Orient clients to program rules and address non-compliance to ensure a safe environment.
  • *Document client activity, progress, and needs according to established procedures.
  • *Provide culturally sensitive family services and intervention strategies.
  • *Utilize motivational enhancement and cognitive-behavioral approaches.
  • *Collaborate with clients using teaching techniques.
  • *Employ evidence-based interventions.
  • *Use effective strategies for engaging, defusing, and de-escalating clients through collaborative problem-solving.
  • *Assess ongoing support and service needs.
  • Seek feedback from family members regarding all aspects of the intervention.
  • *Demonstrate reliability and punctuality in scheduling and attendance.
  • Meet reporting requirements accurately and promptly.
  • Show courtesy and empathy to clientele, volunteers, and visitors.
  • Cooperate with program staff, volunteers, and other agency personnel.
  • Acknowledge and comply with program and agency policies, procedures, and requirements.
  • Engage in internal or external training opportunities to develop personal and professional skills.
  • *Develop a self-care plan to maintain well-being.
  • *Perform essential job functions at the company physical work site.
  • Complete additional program-related tasks as assigned.
