Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY

The Firearms Training Specialist is tasked with delivering a structured curriculum while adhering to established class schedules. This role is pivotal in ensuring that participants receive exceptional educational experiences. The Specialist will also engage in retail activities as deemed necessary by management and will serve as the Range Safety Officer when required.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Achieving Objectives

  1. Recognizes and anticipates client needs by building strong relationships and maintaining comprehensive knowledge of product education and market trends.
  2. Evaluates class performance through feedback and personal assessments.
  3. Drives sales performance in alignment with organizational targets.

Operational Excellence

  1. Upholds the integrity and reputation of the facility by adhering to all legal and health regulations.
  2. Ensures that the range and facilities are maintained in a clean and safe condition.
  3. Facilitates special events and educational sessions with enthusiasm, expertise, and a strong focus on customer service.
  4. Reports daily to the Director of Training regarding any operational matters that require attention.

Building Relationships

  1. Fosters collaborative and supportive relationships across the organization.
  2. Develops and maintains positive and effective relationships with key stakeholders, including external vendors and clients.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/KEY COMPETENCIES

  • Proficient in technology necessary for executing job functions related to class structure and Point of Sale systems.
  • Conducts classes as assigned.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

A high school diploma is required, with additional college coursework preferred.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Preferred candidates will have 3-5 years of experience in firearms education and/or range safety officer responsibilities.

Must possess a minimum of NRA/USCCA Certified Pistol Instructor Certification.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Willingness to work normal overtime and extended hours as needed.
  • Ability to physically audit and inspect all operational aspects.
  • Must be capable of standing for extended periods.
