Unit Highlights: The Hauenstein 3 (H3) unit is recognized for its specialization in neuroscience nursing, focusing on the unique skills required to support patients who have undergone complex neurological surgeries and trauma. As a designated Comprehensive Stroke Center, we provide critical care for newly diagnosed stroke patients requiring urgent thrombolytic and neuro-interventional treatments. Additionally, the unit houses an Epilepsy Monitoring Unit, offering comprehensive medical and surgical care options for epilepsy patients.
Role Responsibilities: The Registered Nurse collaborates within an interdisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of evidence-based medicine and personalized patient care. The RN is responsible for facilitating all aspects of the patient experience during their visit.
Qualifications Required:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program
- Associate degree in nursing is mandatory; BSN is preferred
- For those with an ADN in Grand Rapids, enrollment in a BSN program within 6 months of hire is required, with completion within 4 years
- Current licensure in the State of Michigan
- Prior experience as a Registered Nurse is essential
