Responsibilities

As a Medical Assistant in our Dermatology department, you will be responsible for assisting providers and other members of the healthcare team in the clinic. This will include performing various back office and patient-related tasks, ensuring smooth patient and workflow within the department.

You will also perform a variety of patient care procedures within the Medical Assistant (MA) scope of practice, including injections, EKGs, ear lavage, and blood draws. Additionally, you will measure patient vital signs, manage rooming and patient flow, and inform providers of schedule changes that impact patient flow.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED and ability to read and comprehend at a 12th Grade Level or above.
  • Graduation from an accredited medical Assisting program, With Washington State Department of Health medical Assistant
  • Certified (CM) or medical Assistant Interim (IC) credential required.
