Job Summary

The Warehouse Operations Specialist will thrive in a dynamic environment characterized by urgency and will be accountable for the receipt, storage, and distribution of components, chemicals, and finished products to both internal and external stakeholders. This role involves collaboration with Procurement, Manufacturing Services, and Finance to ensure accurate tracking, recording, and maintenance of inventory.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Complete all mandatory training within the initial 90 days.
  • Adhere to Good Warehouse Practices.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures within the department.
  • Verify Part Numbers, Lot Numbers, Quantity, and Expiration dates accurately.
  • Ensure products are stored under recommended conditions.
  • Maintain accuracy in material movement both physically and systematically.
  • Label all materials in compliance with quality standards.
  • Efficiently pick, pack, and stage materials for work and sales orders.
  • Conduct accurate inventory counts.
  • Perform system transactions for receiving, staging, and shipping functions, including purchase order receipts and inventory transfers.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Working Conditions:
  • Movement in and out of temperature-controlled areas, including refrigeration and freezer conditions.
  • Repetitive tasks requiring constant movement.
  • Physical activities including walking, standing, reaching, lifting, pushing, pulling, and kneeling.
  • Handling of packaged hazardous materials may be required.
  • Exposure to moderate to high noise levels from equipment.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts and overtime as needed.
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs or more.
Safety Responsibilities:
  • Comply with all safety regulations and procedures.
  • Act as a safety steward by reporting near misses and attending safety training.
  • Ensure a safe work environment through continuous safety awareness.
  • Maintain compliance with personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience with warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks is essential.
  • Proven experience in inventory management.
  • Familiarity with QAD and Microsoft Office programs.
  • Demonstrated positive and productive results.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective interaction with all employees.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
  • Exhibit a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Understand the importance of urgency in operations.
  • Computer skills with the ability to learn new programs quickly.
