Cardiovascular Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiovascular Technologist to join our team at Hackensack Meridian Health - 30 Prospect Avenue. The successful candidate will assist physicians with all procedures, including Cardiac Catheterization, Angioplasty, and Atherectomy, while ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Assist physicians with diagnostic and interventional procedures, including Cardiac Catheterization, Angioplasty, and Atherectomy.
- Prepare sterile trays and organize equipment for each procedure.
- Prepare patients for procedures, including attaching EKG leads and performing betadine scrubs.
- Assist with the preparation of patients for monitoring and calibrate transducers for accurate pressure readings.
- Load and operate power injectors and maintain digital cine technologies.
- Ensure proper downloading of patient images and hemodynamic records.
- Assist in emergency situations and provide supportive measures to restore and/or maintain patient well-being.
- Assist with the removal of procedural sheaths and insertion of vascular closure devices.
- Assist with inventory control and maintenance of diagnostic and technical equipment.
- 2 years of prior experience in a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory or invasive procedure area in an acute care hospital.
- 6-12 months of experience in a CVT accredited program or 2 years in another cardiac vascular laboratory.
- Familiarity with computers, hemodynamic monitoring, and sterile operative techniques.
RCIS, RCES, or RT certification is required. Knowledge of electrophysiology intra-procedure mapping, ablation, and implant devices is also required.
