About the Role:
This is a temporary assignment through corporate payroll, offering a 13-week opportunity to work in Acute Care Psychiatric Hospital. You will have the chance to convert to a full-time position at the end of the duration, with a competitive hourly rate of $45.
Responsibilities:
Provide and coordinate care by assessing patients' physical and behavioral health needs.
Develop and implement nursing care plans, maintaining accurate medical records and educating patients and their families about various health conditions.
Ensure physicians' orders are legible and transcribed appropriately, notifying them of significant changes in patients' status.
Administer medications accurately, document controlled substance medication administration, and complete admission and discharge processing efficiently.
Demonstrate knowledge and utilization of universal precautions, exhibit therapeutic rapport with patients, and communicate professionally with patients, visitors, and colleagues.
Qualifications:
Must have graduated from an accredited school of nursing and possess a current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
One year of nursing experience, with previous psychiatric, mental, behavioral, or substance abuse nursing experience preferred.
CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required, with first aid certification based on state or facility requirements.
