As a Meat Department Specialist, you will contribute to maintaining a well-stocked and organized department while delivering exceptional customer service.

Your responsibilities will include preparing, packaging, and displaying fresh products daily, while adhering to all department and food safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Production / Food Service:
  • Cuts, trims, and prepares meat for display or customer orders, adhering to company standards
  • Operates various equipment including grinders, saws, and slicers
  • Weighs, wraps, and labels product packages for display; rotates stock as necessary
  • Ensures proper storage practices and product rotation in the meat cooler
  • Utilizes technology to generate production lists and track reworks
  • Assists customers with inquiries regarding products
  • Scans items for production tracking
  • Provides support in technical areas as required

Food Safety / Sanitation:
  • Cleans and sanitizes display cases; properly maintains equipment
  • Adheres to H-E-B food safety and sanitation protocols
  • Follows department SOPs and complies with federal and state regulations

Customer Service:
  • Delivers outstanding customer service
  • Responds to customer inquiries and assists with product selections

Qualifications:

  • Minimum age of 18 (required)
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience and/or training
  • Completion of power jack training
