Job Summary

Amentum is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Monitor to perform entry control actions at a secure facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring designated areas, ensuring only authorized personnel are granted access, and performing personnel credential checks in accordance with government procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Entry Control: Ensure only authorized personnel are granted access to the facility and its secured zones by performing personnel credential checks using the security access control system.
  • Access Control: Deny entry to anyone who has not satisfied the requirements for access to the facility and its secured zones.
  • Log Maintenance: Maintain a daily log of security events, including Personal Electronic Devices violations, and provide the log to the supervisor after shift.
  • Emergency Response: Summon emergency vehicles and crews as required.
Requirements
  • Clearance: Active Top Secret clearance required.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Driver's License: Valid state-issued driver's license required.
  • First Aid/CPR/AED: Must be trained or able to be trained in basic First Aid/CPR/AED.
  • Criminal History: No current or pending criminal charges or misdemeanor convictions involving moral turpitude, acts of dishonesty, assault or battery, or felony convictions.
  • Language Skills: Must be able to fluently read, write, and speak English.
  • Physical Abilities: Must be capable of detaining individuals using manual verbal manipulation techniques while Security Forces are notified.
  • Reporting Skills: Must have the ability to construct and write clear, concise, and detailed reports.
Additional Requirements
  • Drug Testing: Will be required to submit periodic drug tests at the request of the government.
  • Physical Examination: Must be willing to undergo a physical examination to determine any conditions that would interfere with full performance of duties.
  • Physical Abilities: Must be physically able to perform frequent and prolonged walking, standing, sitting, stooping, climbing, crawling, jumping, occasional running or sprinting.
Work Environment

This is an in-the-field position with no unusual hazards. The successful candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to multitask.
