Audubon Companies is seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Supervisor to coordinate, check, and draft assignments associated with Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams using SPPID and AutoCAD.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain complete P ID packages, including preliminary, conceptual, and detail design deliverables.
  • Implement revisions and change management according to company standards and engineering direction.
  • Maintain and coordinate Bluebeam sessions for redline markups and change management.
  • Clarify instructions with drafters and engineers when drawing markups or verbal instructions are unclear.
  • Willingness to instruct others to improve the quality of the P ID packages.
  • Maintain a continued awareness of task schedule and budget.
  • Check drafted drawings for consistency, completeness, and accuracy from provided markups and approved legends/specs, including within the database.
  • Continually look for product improvements and cost reductions.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associate's Degree from a Technical Institution preferred.
  • Good understanding of PFD/UFDs and P IDs.
  • Intergraph Smart P ID experience of 10+ years required.
  • Experience with data publishing/retrieving from SPPID.
  • AutoCAD software experience required.
  • Microsoft Office software experience preferred.
  • Medium/Large project lead experience preferred.
  • Ability to find a solution for or to deal proactively with work-related problems.
  • Ability to read and understand drawing markups to determine drafting requirements.
  • Ability to utilize conventional drafting tools and CAD software to execute drafting requirements.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
