Job Summary

Adecco is seeking a skilled Equipment Operator II to join our team in Southington. This is a 3rd shift position, working 10:45 p.m. - 7:15 a.m. Sunday through Thursday, with weekend overtime as needed. The hourly rate for this role is $23.50.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate assigned equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring continued operation through interpretation of and response to machine faults and line clearance needs.
  • Perform start-up operations, complete equipment and product paperwork, and conduct Level I preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Participate in changeovers, including line clearance, system transactions, and associated documentation.
  • Perform work order set-ups in electronic batch record, data acquisition, and inventory management systems.
  • Pull test samples for quality control, remove completed production from the machine, and place it in finished goods totes.
  • Fulfill component hoppers/bowls as required to maintain production.
  • Perform minor troubleshooting to diagnose machine performance issues and escalate to assigned technicians when necessary.
  • Log hourly production boards with production and efficiency numbers, noting issues that prevented goal attainment.
  • Submit machine repair tags to identify issues requiring support services.
  • Ensure product not meeting quality specifications is processed under non-conformance procedures/requirements.
  • Maintain 5S standards in assigned work areas.
  • Model company values and support strategic initiatives.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED with 1-3 years of manufacturing experience preferred; or Technical Certificate with associated relevant experience.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of and ability to use computers.
  • Sound judgment for use in machine troubleshooting and product disposition.
  • Good interpersonal skills to facilitate communication at various levels and areas within the organization.
  • Able to accurately follow both verbal and written instructions.
Work Environment

This role involves working with manufacturing equipment or in close proximity to equipment. You may be exposed to biohazards and/or chemicals. The work environment can range from a clean room with proper gowning requirements to a production area that is open, potentially noisy, and with moving equipment.

You must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. and push/pull up to 80 lbs. Recurring physical demands include standing, walking, stooping, crouching, climbing, bilateral motion involving hands, wrists, and upper body. Concentrated visual attention is required to perform checks on products and components.

This position requires travel less than 5% of the time.
