Job DescriptionWe are challenging the status quo by making radiology a vital part of healthcare. Our team is dedicated to providing high-quality imaging services to patients.
This per diem position involves operating CT scanners to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes. You will work closely with patients, explaining procedures and answering questions while maintaining a positive attitude and working relationships with colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Screens patients before exams, ensuring correct patient and procedure identification
- Prepares patients for scanning procedures, positioning them correctly and explaining the process
- Performs routine and advanced scanning procedures on designated body parts, utilizing dose reduction techniques as needed
- Maintains accurate patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS)
- Cleans and disinfects equipment after each use, promoting good safety habits
- Ensures compliance with HIPAA guidelines
Additional Responsibilities:
- Assists with maintaining updated imaging protocol manuals and software upgrades
- Monitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary
- Provides technical expertise and training to new associates, as applicable
