We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Buffet Host/Cashier to join our team at Monarch Casino Resort & Spa Black Hawk. As a key member of our front-of-house team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service, ensuring a seamless dining experience, and maintaining a clean and organized environment.
Key Responsibilities- Guest Service
- Greets guests warmly and makes them feel welcome
- Thank guests for dining with us and ensures they have a positive experience
- Front of House Operations
- Maintains a clean and organized front-of-house environment, including the buffet area and dining room
- Seats guests and takes initial drink orders when needed
- Assists with opening and closing tasks, including side work and cleaning
- Cash Handling and Operations
- Operates registers, scanners, and credit card terminals
- Performs basic math functions to collect payments and distribute proper change
- Maintains accurate cash drawer and handles cash transactions
- Team Collaboration
- Works collaboratively with servers, bussers, and other front-of-house team members to ensure seamless service
- Assists with bussing tables and maintaining a clean and organized dining area
- Experience
- 1 year of previous cash handling experience preferred
- Skills
- Excellent guest service and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Basic to intermediate computer knowledge
- Strong general mathematical skills
- Physical Demands
- Ability to stand for duration of shift
- Ability to bend, stoop, and continuously use hands
- Ability to push and pull up to 25lbs and occasionally up to 45lbs
