We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Orthopedic Healthcare Coordinator to join our team at University Orthopedics. In this role, you will provide administrative support to our healthcare team and coordinate patient care activities.

About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and efficient individual to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment. You will be responsible for coordinating patient appointments, verifying patient information, and preparing examination rooms. Additionally, you will assist with preparing laboratory specimens, performing basic laboratory tests, and educating patients and families about medication and diet instructions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate patient appointments and verify patient information.
  • Prepare examination rooms and assist with preparing laboratory specimens and performing basic laboratory tests.
  • Educate patients and families about medication and diet instructions, answer questions, and monitor patient safety.
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with healthcare providers and patients.

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you must have a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification or be a credentialed medical assistant or licensed health professional. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills are essential. Additionally, you should have computer proficiency in EHR systems, Microsoft Word, and Outlook, as well as the ability to work efficiently in a busy office setting.
