Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Diesel Vehicle Technician to join our team at Performance Foodservice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on medium to heavy-duty diesel equipment, including trucks, trailers, and refrigeration units.
  • Conduct thorough inspections to identify root causes of failures and perform necessary repairs.
  • Ensure all equipment is properly licensed and registered before being deemed roadworthy.
  • Document all work through the Enterprise Asset Management system.
  • Install, replace, and repair onboard computers and inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other critical components.
  • Train and provide guidance to junior mechanics.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair, including PMs, tire & wheel, air & air disc brakes, diagnosis, computerized diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, electronic component repair, and refrigeration experience.

Estimated Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year.
