Surgical Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technician to join our team at Unity Health. As a Surgical Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms.

• Prepare and maintain a clean and sterile environment for surgical procedures.
• Assist surgeons and other medical staff during procedures, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of care.
• Operate and maintain medical equipment, including sterilizers and surgical instruments.
• Transport patients and equipment as needed, ensuring the safe and timely movement of patients and supplies.
• Participate in the central processing department as needed, assisting with the preparation and maintenance of surgical equipment.
• Collaborate with the circulating nurse and other medical staff to ensure the smooth operation of the operating room.

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an operating room technician, surgical technician, or surgical technologist program preferred.
• One year of experience in surgical assisting in the operating room preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.

This role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 30 pounds, and bending and moving heavy equipment. The ability to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, is also required.
