Key Responsibilities
  • Operate CNC Machines: Safely and efficiently operate CNC milling and turning machines to produce high-quality parts.
  • Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform routine maintenance tasks, troubleshoot equipment issues, and make necessary repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Quality Control: Inspect parts for defects, verify dimensions, and perform First Piece Check to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Housekeeping and Safety: Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhere to safety protocols, and report any hazards or incidents to management.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Collaborate with colleagues, supervisors, and management to achieve production goals, resolve issues, and improve processes.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, plus 6-12 months of related experience or training.
  • Skills and Abilities: Basic computer skills, math skills, attention to detail, and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Physical Demands: Regularly lift and move up to 40 pounds, occasionally lift and move up to 60 pounds, and work in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Machine Setups: Experience with machine setups for production runs.
  • Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Mechanical Troubleshooting: Experience with mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Deburring Experience: Experience with deburring techniques.
  • Packaging Experience: Experience with packaging and shipping procedures.
  • Metal Casting Experience: Experience with metal casting processes.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Shop Math Skills: Basic math skills, including decimal system and min/max values.
Working Conditions
  • Occupational Noise Exposure: High occupational noise exposure, with adequate hearing protection provided and required at all times.
  • Occupational Exposure to Fumes and Dust: Regularly encounter occupational exposure to fumes and dust, with personal protective equipment required at all times.
