We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team as a Substitute Nurse. As a Substitute Nurse, you will provide routine and emergency care to students and staff, working closely with the Coordinator of Health Services, campus principal, and designee.
Key Responsibilities- Identify health conditions and concerns through health screening and physical assessments.
- Provide parents/guardians with necessary information and assistance for follow-up referral activities.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding student/employee physical and mental health conditions or concerns.
- Provide emergency nursing services for ill or injured students/employees.
- Render nursing services as needed, including administering medication and providing counseling.
- Comply with Texas regulations and laws regarding immunizations, child abuse, and communicable diseases.
- Current licensure as a registered nurse with the Texas State Board of Nurse Examiners.
- Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain confidentiality.
The Substitute Nurse will work in a school setting, exposed to bacteria and communicable diseases. The ability to lift, bend, and stand for long periods is required.
