The Junior Project Coordinator will oversee mid to large-scale projects and may support Senior Project Managers on complex, multi-disciplinary endeavors. This role encompasses the entire project lifecycle and is accountable for ensuring projects are completed on time and within the defined scope, schedule, and budget. This position is crucial in delivering projects that offer meaningful, high-quality solutions to meet engineering and design requirements.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Forming project teams and delegating responsibilities to ensure that technical skills and expertise align with project goals.
  • Establishing and communicating project scope, timeline, and budget with the project team, clients, and contractors, serving as the main point of contact to update all parties on project status and challenges.
  • Creating project budgets, monitoring expenses, and ensuring adherence to the planned budget to maintain client satisfaction and contribute to the successful execution of projects.
  • Acquiring necessary resources for all project phases, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
  • Identifying potential risks or additional costs within project plans and implementing strategies to mitigate impacts.
  • Organizing and leading regular project meetings with clients and team members to ensure alignment on project expectations and performance.
  • Documenting all project deliverables and maintaining comprehensive records, including correspondence, design plans, and other relevant files.
  • Building and nurturing strong client relationships to secure future opportunities.
  • Facilitating contract negotiations.
  • Guiding team members on project management best practices using Olsson's Project Management programs and other resources.
  • Complying with regulations and enforcing safety standards.

Travel to job sites for observation and client meetings may be required.

  • Strong interpersonal and decision-making skills, with the ability to devise innovative solutions to complex challenges.
