Job Description

Zachry Group is seeking a skilled Crane Operator I to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate mobile cranes in a petrochemical facility, ensuring safe and efficient completion of tasks.
  • Perform maintenance on various types of industrial equipment, including hydraulic mobile cranes.
  • Support other crafts when not actively performing crane operation activities.
  • Participate in site programs such as Safe Catch, Quality Catch, and Stop Work Authority.
  • Meet all physical requirements, including standing, walking, cycling, bending, squatting, lifting, and working at extreme heights.
Requirements:
  • Valid NCCCO TLL and TSS certifications.
  • At least 4 years of related experience as a Crane Operator.
  • Experience using industrial hand and power tools in an industrial work environment.
  • Experience operating cranes within a petro-chemical or similar facility.
  • Good problem-solving abilities and an agile mindset.
  • Aptitude for mechanical equipment and effective computing, literacy, and numeracy skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with others in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Current or former Zachry Group employee with an acceptable ESR rating.
Working Conditions:
  • Work outside in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, snow, and wind.
  • Work at extreme heights on fixed, temporary, and/or mobile platforms.
  • Work within confined spaces, including tanks, vessels, pits, excavations, etc.
Education and Certifications:
  • NCCCO TLL and TSS certifications.
  • Industrial Rigger certifications through a recognized program such as NCCCO or NCCER.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be capable of lifting, carrying, and moving up to 50lbs.
  • Must be capable and comfortable working at extreme heights and within confined spaces.
Medical Requirements:
  • Crane Operator Physical.
  • Drug Screen.
  • Pulmonary Function Test.
  • Respiratory Protection/Fit Test.
  • Audiogram.
