Job Title: Project Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic Project Manager to enhance our Project Management team. This role requires an individual with strong leadership capabilities who can thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing contract management and ensuring project performance while effectively collaborating with trade partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Champion the company's safety initiatives, fostering a culture of safety and commitment to an injury-free workplace.
  • Collaborate with estimating teams to facilitate project transitions and conduct thorough pre-construction assessments, including design and contract reviews.
  • Oversee pricing verification, scope identification, and manage the issuance of subcontracts and purchase orders.
  • Establish and manage the submittal schedule, ensuring timely reviews and approvals of shop drawings and samples.
  • Guarantee that approved submittals are returned to subcontractors in accordance with project timelines.
  • Identify potential scheduling challenges and develop mitigation strategies to address them.
  • Engage with owners, vendors, crews, subcontractors, architects, and suppliers to ensure timely project execution.
  • Maintain accountability for all project documentation, including schedules, material purchases, and cost management reports.
  • Direct subcontractor activities alongside site supervisors to ensure compliance with contract specifications.
  • Manage the monthly pay application process and conduct financial reviews of project budgets.
  • Conduct site visits to assess progress and ensure quality, safety, and client satisfaction.
  • Foster client relationships and contribute to business development efforts.
  • Represent the company professionally and maintain a positive work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in project management or field leadership roles is preferred.
  • Estimating experience is advantageous.
  • Strong multitasking abilities are essential.
  • Valid driver's license is required.
  • Proven ability to lead and collaborate effectively within a team-oriented environment.
  • Proficient in interpreting construction documents and understanding general construction practices.
  • Ability to influence decision-making and build trust within teams.
  • Thorough understanding of project processes and their impact on successful project completion.
  • Experience with Lean processes and principles is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of construction-related accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
  • Willingness to travel to various job sites as needed.
