Carpenter Assistant

The Walsh Group is seeking a skilled Carpenter Assistant to join our team. As a Carpenter Assistant, you will play a crucial role in the construction process, working closely with our experienced carpenters to ensure the successful completion of projects.

• Assist in the construction, erection, and installation of structures made of wood, plywood, and other materials.
• Use carpentry hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machines to complete tasks efficiently.
• Measure and mark guidelines on working surfaces to prepare for laying down work.
• Prepare, build, and install wooden structures in line with prefabricated units.
• May assist with the installation of awnings and metal decking for concrete slabs.

• 1-3 years of verifiable experience in a related field.
• Ability to climb and maintain balance on scaffold/ladder.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in adverse weather conditions.
• Requires the ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures.
• Strong work ethic and desire to learn.
• Good manual dexterity and ability to stand, bend, kneel, or sit for long periods.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
