Key Responsibilities:

The Equipment Service Technician will be responsible for conducting routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on various models of Hyster-Yale forklifts and other competitive material handling equipment. This includes:

  • Working on diverse fuel systems, drivetrains, electrical systems, and hydraulic systems.
  • Providing training and mentorship to apprentice technicians through hands-on experience.
  • Adhering to all safety protocols and company policies during work.
  • Identifying and ordering necessary replacement parts accurately.
  • Operating the service vehicle in a clean and secure manner, following all safety regulations.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:

  • High school diploma, G.E.D., or technical school graduate preferred.
  • Proven ability to repair equipment relevant to the skill level.
  • Basic knowledge of computer and tablet operations (Microsoft and Apple).
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.

Skills Required:

Candidates must possess the ability to:

  • Read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and maintenance manuals.
  • Write routine correspondence effectively.
  • Perform mathematical calculations involving discounts, percentages, and basic operations.
  • Understand measurements of weight, volume, and distance.
  • Resolve practical problems and interpret various instructions.

Physical Requirements:

This position requires:

  • Regular standing, walking, and using hands for various tasks.
  • Occasional climbing, bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities including close and distance vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
