Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate individual to become a part of our team at The Barking Dog as an Animal Care Specialist. If you possess a love for animals, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude, this role could be an excellent fit for you. As an Animal Care Specialist, your primary duties will involve the daily care of our furry guests, which encompasses walking, feeding, cleaning, and showering affection on both dogs and cats. You will also engage with pet owners, uphold a sanitary environment, and guarantee the safety and health of all animals entrusted to our care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Walking and engaging with dogs
- Feeding and administering medications as needed
- Maintaining cleanliness of rooms and facilities
- Communicating with pet owners
- Recording observations and updates
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Comfortable interacting with all breeds of dogs
- Access to reliable transportation
- Ability to stand for extended periods on hard surfaces
Work Schedule:
Our operations run year-round, and ideal candidates should be flexible for various shifts, including weekends and holidays. Your role will primarily involve working with dogs in daycare and kennel environments, along with performing cleaning tasks.
