The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the Medical/Surgical Department is a certified support professional who aids patients with daily living activities, provides fundamental nursing care to non-critical patients, and helps maintain a secure environment under the guidance and supervision of the Registered Nurse leading the team and/or unit.


Qualifications:
Education, Experience, and Training Requirements:

  • Current Certified Nursing Assistant certification upon hire is mandatory.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire and must be maintained.
  • Familiarity with Medical Terminology is essential.
  • A minimum of six months of prior experience in an acute care hospital or physician's office is preferred.

Benefits may vary based on collective bargaining agreements and/or employment status, such as full-time or part-time. The current compensation range for this position is $22.49 to $34.14.

The specific starting salary will be determined at the time of hiring, considering a wide range of factors, including but not limited to, skill set, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
