Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our Career Start program. As a Project Engineer, you will work closely with our preconstruction team to create detailed estimates, forecast project costs, and assist with subcontractor database management. You will also participate in project meetings, assist with change order creation, and support project managers in overseeing project resources.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with estimating and project management responsibilities, including creating detailed estimates, forecasting project costs, and managing subcontractor databases.
  • Participate in project meetings, assist with change order creation, and support project managers in overseeing project resources.
  • Gain a basic understanding of document control, shop drawings, and construction processes.
  • Assist with site logistics, construction management plans, and safety requirements.
  • Support project managers in coordinating trade partners, material and equipment procurement, and managing budgets.
Requirements
  • Recent or soon-to-be college graduate with a bachelor's degree, equivalent military experience, or equivalent construction management experience.
  • Previous co-op or internship experience preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Resourceful with strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team member.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to sit for long periods, talk or hear, perform fine motor skills, and work in an office environment with a quiet to moderate noise level. Job site walking is also required.
