We're looking for a skilled BMC Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in basic automotive technology and experience with electrical and diagnostic systems. Proficiency in troubleshooting and computer diagnosis is essential.
The successful applicant will have a competitive compensation package, including a base hourly rate of $31.00-$45.00, plus production bonuses based on individual or team performance. Job Description
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems, including engine, transmission, suspension, brakes, steering, electrical, air conditioning, and more.
- Accurately assess and diagnose problems using system diagnostics and testing.
- Perform thorough, efficient, and timely repairs, ensuring quality completion.
- Utilize diagnostic equipment and special service tools to test vehicle components.
- Repair vehicles under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
- Provide clear communication to service advisors regarding additional repairs, if needed.
- Maintain safety standards at all times and keep a safe, neat work area.
- Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, honesty, and consistent appropriate behavior with coworkers, management, and customers.
- Test drive vehicles to ensure quality completion of repairs.
Requirements
- 2+ years of automotive experience, preferably with BMC.
- ASE certification is a plus.
- Driver's license is required.
- Excellent electrical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills are a must.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and computer diagnosis.
- Good foundation of basic automotive technology.
- Ability to drive manual transmission.
- Must be able to perform heavy lifting.
- Must have a clean driving record.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and enthusiastic presence with the ability to work effectively and efficiently in a team environment.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Strong computer and phone skills.
