The Patient Care Assistant plays a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients in the behavioral health unit at St. Mary's General Hospital. Responsibilities:

Assist patients with bathing, dressing, and grooming
Provide basic nursing care, including vital sign checks and medication administration
Maintain a safe and clean environment, including restocking supplies and disposing of waste
Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans

Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent
Current Phlebotomy certification preferred
Current EKG certification preferred
Current BLS (AHA) certification required
Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology
Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician's office preferred
