Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Construction Laborer to join our team at LEAD Staffing. As a Construction Laborer, you will play a critical role in supporting our construction projects by performing various labor-intensive tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Foremen and Superintendents with on-site projects by filling labor-intensive roles in varying capabilities.
  • Perform industrial cleaning, commercial light construction, and material removal tasks.
  • Ensure safe operation procedures are executed and use proper tools and techniques for the project.
  • Work to complete jobs as scheduled and be willing to learn on the job.
  • Follow directions of Foreman/Superintendent and Leads, and respect self, co-workers, managers, company, other contractors, and clients at all times.
  • Assist in set up and tear down of equipment, gather proper tools needed to perform tasks, and have knowledge of these tools and their applications.
  • Direct traffic when necessary to ensure safety of pedestrians, motorists, and work crew.
  • Provide labor support as needed for specialty crew and wear approved Personal Protective Equipment when at construction site.
  • Understand the dangers of equipment and recognize them, show awareness of spacing to complete the job effectively and efficiently, and attend safety meetings and follow safety policies, regulations, and procedures.
  • Represent the company with a positive attitude internally and externally, participate fully as a team member, and complete all requirements assigned in a timely manner.
  • Work cohesively with team members and all co-workers, displaying a positive attitude through behaviors and supportive problem-solving and communication skills both orally and in writing.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 year+ of Construction (or similar) experience.
  • Ability to safely lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand and/or walk up to 75% of the time on the job.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Ability to Squat, kneel, bend, reach, pull, walk, climb continuously for up to 8 hours a day.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and listening skills.
  • Able to work in various weather conditions, including sun, rain, and wind.
  • Self-motivated to learn new skills and trades.
  • Versatile in methods used to complete tasks.
  • Ability to work Overtime, Saturday's, and some Sundays.
