About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Back End Software Engineer to join our team at Capital One. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, implementing, and supporting technical solutions in full-stack development tools and technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Agile teams to deliver robust cloud-based solutions that drive powerful experiences for our customers.
  • Utilize programming languages like Java, Python, SQL, Node, Go, and Scala, as well as Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, Container Orchestration services, and AWS tools and services.
  • Share your passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, and participating in internal and external technology communities.
  • Mentor other members of the engineering community and contribute to the growth and development of our team.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in at least one of the following: Java, Scala, Python, Go, or Node.js.
  • 1+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service.
  • 3+ years of experience in open source frameworks.
  • 2+ years of experience in Agile practices.
