The RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Lead Compounding Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless transitions from day to day and weekend to weekday operations, guaranteeing uninterrupted production flow in our labs.
Key Responsibilities:- Create daily workflow plans for the technician team, ensuring completion of daily, weekly, and monthly tasks.
- Develop and implement daily, weekly, and monthly pharmacy technician task sheets, as well as downtime task sheets.
- Delegate tasks and workflow items when necessary, leading the team effort by accomplishing daily, weekly production tasks.
- Train additional pharmacy technicians on unique role and responsibilities, working closely with R&D on scale-ups with new liquid tableting formulas.
- Organize and restock work areas, cycle count, and remove expired medication, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Interview applicants for pharmacy technician positions, adhering to state and federal pharmacy regulations for ordering, handling, and managing prescriptions.
- Update and maintain patient profile records, reviewing weekly pharmacy huddle updates for new information.
- Drive quality efforts by adhering to standard operating procedures, following state and pharmacy regulations, and maintaining a safe work environment.
- 4+ years of experience as a compounding pharmacy technician with lead experience.
- Active Certified Pharmacy Technician registration with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy.
- Effective knowledge of state and federal pharmacy laws, rules, and regulations related to the practice of pharmacy.
- Ability to work flexible shift times within alternative schedule demand.
- Attention to detail, strong independent work ethic, and willingness to work in a team environment.
- Proficiency in English, verbal and written, and proficiency in Windows-based computer systems.
