Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Texas Rehabilitation Hospital of Keller. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our interdisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain knowledge of various oxygen delivery methods and equipment, and remain alert to potential side effects.
• Administer respiratory therapy treatments, understanding their purpose and potential side effects.
• Set up and monitor mechanical ventilators, performing critical care duties such as airway management and tracheal suctioning.
• Assess patient pain and make appropriate physician contact for intervention.
• Perform arterial punctures to obtain blood samples for analysis, understanding potential complications and contraindications.
• Conduct EKGs, type and send report interpretations to physicians, and file reports according to department procedures.

Requirements:

• Current State Respiratory Therapist Licensure
• Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Respiratory Therapy
• Current CPR certification (specify BLS or ACLS)
• Three or more years of experience in cardiopulmonary services (highly preferred)
