Medical Radiographer-Vascular Lab Part Time

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Radiographer-Vascular Lab Part Time to join our team at Stony Brook Medicine. As a valued member of our radiology department, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the delivery of high-quality diagnostic imaging services.
Key Responsibilities- Produce diagnostic exams, position and transfer patients, and provide immobilization devices as needed.
- Select and operate equipment, ensuring proper technical factors are applied on an individual patient basis.
- Provide protection in accordance with prescribed safety standards and assist physicians in administering opaque media.
- Delegate areas of authority in the performance of routine or special procedures and may be responsible for specific areas of instruction in the school of technology and ancillary personnel.
- Assist in performing first aid, practice sterile techniques, and prevent cross-contamination.
- Conduct periodic quality control tests and participate or conduct research in required specialty.
- Teach radiology students or appropriate hospital personnel established procedures and operation of equipment, in accordance with the guidelines and teaching objectives of the department.
- Graduate from a Diagnostic Ultrasound Program.
- ARDMS Registered in RVT or CCI Registered in RVS.
- BLS Certification.
- Preferred qualifications include one year of experience in Vascular Ultrasound and General Ultrasound, as well as RDMS Abdomen Registered or Registry eligible.
