Job Title: Lead, Public Relations

MongoDB is seeking a seasoned public relations professional to lead our global communications efforts. As a key member of our Global Communications team, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic PR programs that drive awareness and adoption of our developer data platform, MongoDB Atlas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement global PR strategies that align with MongoDB's business objectives
  • Manage and execute proactive PR programs, including media outreach, press releases, and thought leadership initiatives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Social Media, Customer Marketing, Product Marketing, and Field Marketing, to deliver integrated communications campaigns
  • Build and maintain relationships with key media contacts and influencers in the technology industry
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the developer and AI landscapes, and translate complex technical concepts into compelling business communications
  • Manage and mentor a team of PR professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture
Requirements:
  • 8-10 years of experience in communications, with a proven track record in leading technology companies and/or high-growth SaaS, enterprise software, or cloud computing providers
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into meaningful and compelling business communications
  • High judgment and standards, with the ability to consistently deliver results in a fast-changing environment
  • Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders, influence cross-functional teams, and drive networking and relationship-building with the media
  • Experience with data-driven approaches to building and managing communications programs, and a proven track record of strategic planning, goal setting, and program execution
