About the Role:

Virginia Peninsula Community College, a two-year institution of higher education, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to teach noncredit Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) classes in the College's Workforce Development Division.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach noncredit CNA classes to students in a part-time, contracted capacity
  • Develop and implement curriculum, lesson plans, and assessments

Requirements:

  • Currently licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with the Virginia Board of Nursing
  • Significant work experience within the field and occupation
  • Demonstrated ability to perform tasks within the field and occupation
  • Knowledge of all applicable topics, skills, and trends within the field and occupation
  • Industry certification(s) within the field and occupation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Prior experience delivering or developing training
  • Knowledge of and ability to use a variety of software, including word processing, presentation, spreadsheet, database, and communication packages
