Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer - Buildings to join our Structural Services division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing structural systems for various building projects, including development of design documents, calculations, specifications, and construction administration.
Key Responsibilities- Design structural systems for cast-in-place and post-tensioned concrete, structural steel, masonry, and wood framing for healthcare, commercial, industrial, multi-family residential, mixed-use, and institutional buildings.
- Perform structural analysis and design using software such as RISA 3D and RAM Structural System.
- Develop and maintain project documentation, including design documents, calculations, and specifications.
- Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure project deliverables are met.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in structural engineering.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from a U.S. accredited college or university.
- Masters of Science degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from a U.S. accredited college or university is preferred.
- Eight (8) to ten (10) years of structural design experience, including various building systems and materials.
- Professional Engineer Licensure required. Illinois Structural Engineer Licensure preferred.
- Working knowledge of structural analysis and design software, including RISA 3D and RAM Structural System.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work independently.
