KES, Inc. is seeking a Senior Project Engineer with extensive expertise in the construction, modification, and enhancement of US Navy Combatant Craft. This position entails overseeing project management tasks, including administration, planning, scheduling, and financial oversight. The Senior Project Engineer will be responsible for coordinating daily operations, resolving resource conflicts, and addressing client inquiries.

Key Duties:

The Senior Project Engineer will deliver project and engineering assistance to the Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division Detachment Norfolk, Combatant Craft Division (NSWCCDDN), across various technical domains, including but not limited to:

  • Survivability Analysis
  • Environmental Impact Assessments
  • Engineering for Reliability and Maintainability
  • Management of Boat Inventory (BIM)
  • Naval Architectural Engineering and Design
  • Mechanical Engineering and Design
  • Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Design
  • Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and Electromagnetic Interference (EMI)
  • Design Proof Engineering
  • Testing and Evaluation
  • Inspections and Assessments of Watercraft
Required Experience:
  • At least 15 years of experience with U.S. Navy watercraft and associated equipment
  • Knowledge of specifications and regulatory standards
  • Possession of an active DoD Secret Clearance
Educational Background:
  • Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Engineering from an accredited institution
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in the design of Small/High-Speed Craft/Boats
  • Experience in Shipyard Operations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat Pro
  • Understanding of Shipboard Installation Procedures
  • Knowledge in Acquisition, Systems Engineering, Logistics, Integration, and Testing and Evaluation
