Obstetrics and Gynecology Specialist

**About the Job:**
This locum tenens opportunity offers an exciting chance to work with a critical access hospital, providing comprehensive care to women across various stages of life. As an obstetrician-gynecologist, you will be responsible for managing patient care from routine check-ups to high-risk deliveries. The practice features a dedicated team, ensuring a smooth workflow and ample support throughout your tenure.
**Key Responsibilities:*** Outpatient care for women, including OB visits, gynecologic consultations, IUD placements, removals, Nexplanon placements, colposcopies, LEEP procedures, EMBs, and vulvar biopsies* Surgical procedures such as D&Cs, hysterectomies, C-sections, salpingectomy, hysteroscopy, and OB versions* Admitting patients to the 25-bed critical access hospital, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes* Participating in on-call rotations, responding to emergencies and unexpected situations, and maintaining open communication with the hospital staff and other healthcare providers
**Requirements:**
* Active license to practice medicine in the state of Oregon* Board Certification or Eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG)* Current DEA registration* Ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic environment, prioritizing patient needs and delivering compassionate care* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written* Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMRs), specifically NextGen* Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays* Commitment to staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to changing situations
