Department: Diagnostic Cardiology Anc
Shift Timings: Morning Shift 07:00 - 17:30 Hours, Monday to Friday, 5 days, 9 hour shift
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Join a dedicated ECHO Department comprising 4 full-time ECHO sonographers.
- Engage in a cardiac surgical program that serves the highest acuity pediatric and adult congenital heart patients.
- Provide comprehensive coverage for both inpatient and outpatient ECHO requirements.
- Collaborate closely with cardiologists across all facets of the cardiac program.
- Over 1 year of pediatric congenital heart echo scanning experience.
- Pediatric Registry certification is required.
- Experience in pediatric Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE).
- Familiarity with complex congenital heart patients, including pre/post-operative complex repairs.
- Availability to take call and cover weekend shifts; must be able to accommodate off-shift and weekend call requirements.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- National Institutes of Health (NIH) training.
- Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) Certification.
- Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Proficient technical skills.
- Passionate about delivering exceptional patient care.
- Minimum of two years of recent Pediatric ECHO Sonographer experience.
- Graduate from an accredited Sonography ECHO program.
- Active, unencumbered Pediatric ECHO Sonography state license.
- One year of experience with Epic software.
- Completion of COVID vaccination series, including booster.
- Commitment to maintaining and enhancing clinical knowledge and skills.
- Participation in relevant continuing education programs.
- Dedication to providing the highest standard of patient care and service excellence.
- Ability to take initiative and demonstrate independent judgment, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- A collaborative, team-oriented attitude is essential, with the capability to work independently and interact effectively with physicians, managers, and staff throughout the department.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, along with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
