Concrete Estimator Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Concrete Estimator to join our dynamic construction team at Jobot. As a key member of our operations, you will play a crucial role in the profitability and success of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare accurate time, cost, and labor estimates for concrete materials, labor, and equipment.
  • Prepare estimates for use in selecting vendors or subcontractors, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.
  • Review material and labor requirements to decide whether it is more cost-effective to produce or purchase components.
  • Prepare cost and expenditure statements and other necessary documentation at regular intervals for the duration of the project.
  • Confer with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
  • Conduct special studies to develop and establish standard hour and related cost data or to effect cost reduction.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in concrete estimating for commercial, residential, multifamily, and production homes projects.
  • Proficient in cost estimating software and tools.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes and principles, specifically relating to concrete materials and structures.
