Key Responsibilities:

As a Speech Language Pathologist, your duties will include, but are not limited to:

+ Conducting assessments and formulating treatment plans for patients experiencing speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.

+ Regularly evaluating the effectiveness of treatment strategies, participating in team meetings, and engaging in family discussions.

+ Performing discharge assessments, making suitable recommendations for home and community safety, and providing educational resources and referrals.

+ Effectively communicating patient needs and progress to the treatment team, physicians, caregivers, and family members.

+ Collaborating with other disciplines to ensure coordinated care and enhance patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you will need:

+ A Master’s Degree from an accredited Speech Language Pathology program.

+ A valid Speech Language Pathology license in the relevant state(s).

+ Current CPR certification as per state regulations.

+ At least one year of professional experience as a Speech Language Pathologist.

+ Preferred knowledge of rehabilitation techniques related to complex neurological injuries.

+ Strong verbal and written communication skills.

+ The ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

+ Capability to assist in moving, lifting, or transferring patients, which may involve lifting up to 100 pounds while adhering to safety protocols.

+ Proficiency in fine motor skills, visual acuity, and the ability to stand or walk for extended periods.

+ Additional physical requirements may include pushing/pulling, bending/stooping, reaching, kneeling, and frequent positioning.

+ A health screening or examination may be required prior to assignment and periodically thereafter, in accordance with specific location policies and regulations.

Our program is designed to significantly assist individuals recovering from brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, or strokes, helping them regain functional capabilities through comprehensive care in their everyday surroundings.

Salary Range:

USD $50.00 - $58.00 per hour.
