About the Role

Caterpillar is seeking a highly skilled Paint Quality Technician to join our team. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality standards are met in our paint shop.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect painted components for quality and defects
  • Repair minor defects and flag major defects for repair
  • Perform root cause analysis to investigate quality issues
  • Follow lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement processes
  • Gather data and produce reports for calibration analysis and review
Requirements
  • Prior experience in powder coat paint
  • Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods
  • Ability to perform repetitive operations
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in top coat, prime coat, and electrostatic paint and related defects identification
  • Ability to read blueprints/engineering drawings
  • Experience in a quality discipline
  • Experience operating inspection equipment and gauges
  • Experience in data collection and report creation
What We Offer

Caterpillar offers a competitive compensation package, including a quarterly bonus, comprehensive benefits, paid holidays, paid time off, and paid training. Our 1st shift rate is $19.35/hour, and our 3rd shift rate is $20.89/hour (includes 8%-night shift premium).

We require overtime as needed to support business needs. A cash sign-on bonus of $750, less applicable withholdings and taxes, will be paid as soon as administratively practical upon completion of your first day of employment.
