We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at United Medical Rehabilitation Hospital. As an LPN in our inpatient rehabilitation setting, you will play a vital role in providing direct and indirect care to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct and indirect care to patients in the inpatient rehabilitation setting.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, directors, therapy departments, and coworkers to ensure seamless patient care.
- Assess and reassess patient conditions, identifying areas for improvement and revising care plans as needed.
- Administer medications and treatments, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
- Collaborate with therapy departments to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
- Document patient progress and communicate with families and caregivers.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and progress.
- Perform veinapuncture and obtain intravenous access as needed.
- Provide wound care and skin assessments, following physician orders.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
- Current Louisiana LPN licensure.
- Current BCLS certification.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to analyze complex situations and develop effective solutions.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
