Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Radiology Technologist Assistant to join our team at Intern U. As a Radiology Technologist Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting the Radiology Department by improving workflow efficiency and productivity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist technologists with patients as needed, ensuring a smooth and efficient imaging process.
  • Escort patients to the procedure room, providing a comfortable and safe environment.
  • Assist in lifting and positioning patients for related studies, demonstrating a commitment to patient care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, providing clear and concise information.
  • Comply with policies and procedures of the University, Hospital, Department, and Division, upholding the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Demonstrate reliability in meeting deadlines and completing responsibilities, exercising good judgment in the care and use of equipment and supplies.
  • Take responsibility for assigned areas, recognizing what needs to be done and taking action to ensure a high-quality service.
  • Conduct continuous assessment of equipment safety and performance, recognizing malfunctions and informing supervisors.
  • Provide user maintenance and quality assurance testing of equipment in assigned areas, as required.
  • Coordinate and dispatch inpatient and outpatient studies, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Exhibit a professional appearance and conduct at all times, displaying a high work ethic and personal and professional energy.
  • Embodies behaviors that support the University's guest relations program, working effectively with others toward common unit goals.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment, adhering to confidentiality and discretion when interacting with patients.
  • Participate in QA and PI activities, actively working to improve quality of services, cost-effectiveness of operations, teamwork, and quality of work environment.
  • Participate in in-service training, performing necessary clerical duties and preparing patient and room before and after imaging procedures.
  • Properly enter patient data and exam data into the Radiology Information System, demonstrating proficiency in the use of computer-based information systems.
  • Provide basic patient care as required, utilizing appropriate patient lifting/moving devices as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with hospital and departmental staff.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion when interacting with patients.
  • Proficiency in the use of computer-based information systems, including the Radiology Information System.
