We are seeking a skilled Travel Nurse RN to provide exceptional care in a dynamic surgical environment. This role requires a commitment to high standards of patient care and the ability to adapt to various clinical settings.
Certification Requirements- Must possess a valid WI nursing license or a compact license from the state of permanent residence.
- BLS certification is mandatory and must be obtained through the American Heart Association.
- Submit only candidates with valid licenses and certifications throughout the assignment duration.
- Ensure candidates are available for the scheduled shifts as per the posting.
- Collaborate with a team of dedicated nurses with extensive medical and surgical expertise.
- Work in a 28-bed unit focused on nurse-led collaboration, providing care for a diverse surgical patient demographic.
- Gain valuable experience in airway management, including handling new tracheostomies, beneficial for future critical care roles.
- Support and educate patients undergoing specialized care for complex surgical procedures, including but not limited to Cystectomy, Gender Confirmation Surgery, and Mastectomy with flap reconstruction.
- Required experience in tracheostomy and surgical procedures.
- Preferred background in gynecology, urology, plastic, and colorectal surgery.
- Must have completed a minimum of two years of acute care experience within the last three years.
- Experience in an Academic Level 1 Trauma center or a hospital of similar size is essential.
- Successful completion of a previous travel assignment of 13 weeks is required.
- Shifts may be assigned across multiple units based on staffing needs.
- If the primary unit's needs change, shifts will be reassigned to ensure contract completion.
- Basic Arrhythmia experience is necessary.
- Candidates must pass the UW Health Telemetry test prior to commencement.
